Rapid Relief. Real Results.
- While weekly therapy sessions are helpful, you’re ready for an accelerated path toward healing?
- Are you dealing with anxiety, depression, or emotional overwhelm that feels exhausting?
- Are you tired of feeling trapped in unhealthy relationship patterns, people-pleasing, or self-doubt?
- Would you like the opportunity to dive deeper into your healing journey without feeling rushed by time limits?
- Are you ready to heal from trauma, attachment wounds, and inner critic patterns in a focused, intentional way?
If any of these sound familiar, a therapy intensive may be the next best step for you.
In our time together, healing from trauma will be our main focus but based on the package you choose and your goals, additional topics may include:
- Attachment issues
- Boundary struggles
- People-pleasing and controlling behaviors
- Low self-worth and critical inner voices
- Family of Origin & relationship patterns
- Emotional stuck points
Instead of stopping in session just as the work gets deep, intensives allow you to stay with the healing process — building true momentum toward lasting change.
What are Intensives?
Sometimes healing requires more than a weekly 50-minute session.
Therapy intensives create a focused, intentional space to move through deep emotional work with the time and support you need.
- Deeper healing: Intensives allow you to dive deep into your healing and explore your issues in more detail without any rush.
- Faster progress: Intensives allow you to move toward your goals with more momentum than traditional therapy.
- More support: Extended time with your therapist helps you process, connect, and heal at a deeper level.
Intensives are “trending” and cutting edge because they are TRANSFORMATIVE. With this model of therapy, people are seeing dramatic improvement and progress toward their goals.
EMDR Intensives
When you combine the focused structure of an intensive with the powerful healing method of EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), you create the opportunity for lasting transformation.
EMDR uses bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements or tapping) to help your brain reprocess painful memories and beliefs — allowing emotional wounds to heal.
Instead of feeling stuck for months (or years) in the same patterns, EMDR intensives can provide rapid solutions and meaningful breakthroughs.
It’s cost effective compared to going to weekly therapy for months or years and you don’t have to wait to see results.
You’re not investing in time — you’re investing in transformation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who can benefit from an EMDR Intensive?
Anyone seeking faster, focused support can benefit.
If you’re struggling with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, or feeling stuck in your healing journey, an intensive can be a powerful tool for change.
Can I book an intensive even if I have another therapist?
Yes!
An intensive can be an excellent supportive addition to the therapy work you’re already doing.
We can collaborate with your current therapist (if you wish) to ensure the intensive complements your broader treatment goals.
Can insurance cover the cost of an intensive?
No, unfortunately, therapy intensives are self-pay only. Pricing can be found here.
Insurance companies do not currently cover the extended format of therapy intensives.
What days are intensives available?
We schedule intensives based on mutual availability.
Typically, intensives are offered during either a morning block (9 a.m. – 12 p.m.) or an afternoon block (1 p.m. – 4 p.m.).
How do I schedule an intensive?
The first step is a free 15-20 minute phone consultation to see if an intensive is a good fit for your needs.
If we decide to move forward, we’ll schedule an intake appointment first.
After your intake, we’ll plan your intensive session and schedule a follow-up session for continued support afterward.
What if I can’t work through everything in one intensive? Can I book more?
Absolutely!
You are welcome to book multiple intensives spaced according to your needs — whether that’s only one time, once a year, every few months, or even more frequently depending on your goals.
I don’t live in Georgia. Can I still schedule an intensive?
Yes!
However, intensives must be conducted in-person at my office in Georgia.
(Unfortunately, virtual options are not available for out-of-state clients at this time.)
If you’re traveling for your intensive, I’m happy to provide local hotel recommendations.
Is there a sliding fee scale for intensives?
No, a sliding scale is not available for intensives.
However, payment plans or Afterpay are both available to make the investment more manageable with interest-free payments.
How do I prepare for my intensive?
- You’ll receive a custom workbook that you’ll need to complete before your intensive.
- Give yourself time and space to reflect on it.
- We also recommend that you get adequate rest the night before and keep your schedule clear for recovery afterward.
- Water and snacks will be provided, but you’re welcome to bring anything that helps you feel comfortable and grounded (a blanket, journal, tea, etc.).
What should I expect during the intensive?
You’ll spend focused time working one-on-one with your therapist in a safe, supportive environment.
Sessions may include EMDR, grounding exercises, parts work (IFS), mindfulness, and time for reflection.
The pace is guided by your needs.
This is your space to explore deeply, move through stuck points, and experience healing without interruption.
What happens after the intensive is complete?
You’ll have a follow-up session to check in, process what came up, and determine next steps.
From there, we may continue meeting weekly, schedule another intensive, or connect you back with your current therapist — whichever path feels best for your ongoing growth and support.
